Yes, we’re jumping on the Kickstarter bandwagon, and we’re announcing our first commercial game.
Sure? Cos I'm not.
Check character sizes.
The sizes are obviously different. Besides I think they should stay in their own game.
Note: I am currently making a Minecraft skin of Manni.
Oh that's fine. I am only talking about SMBC and SRS. Sorry about that.
On another note, I finished the skin. I decided to be different and use the sprite's palette and not jpeg it. I borrowed some details like the location of the shoe borders, the location of the sleeve ends, the location of the hair (which you won't see), etc from the Steve skin.
Now all it needs is some testing... I'll post a screenshot if I can get it to work...
EDIT: I had to re-install the skins mod, but it's working. I forgot to remove the bottom of the hat though...
EDIT 2: Here's the updated version:
I took a screenshot on the server for the sake of having some awesome ore with an awesome pickaxe:
Not entirely happy with it yet, but it'll do for now. In the meantime, I'll recolour it for a Lanzo skin...
EDIT 3: It's not entirely a recolour because I added 2 black pixels to the nose, but hey...
EDIT 4: Oh crap, I forgot to edit out the colour code for the top/bottom of the legs...
EDIT 5: SO MANY EDITS
Anyway, I fixed the colour code problem.
EDIT 6: Posting for the sake of posting:
The pickaxe is still iron.
*in a German accent* "It's Manni!"
Yay, you made the charather sprites!
I admit it, you need to show us the sprites now.
Wish I had some small amount of money so I could donate to the cause. All I can give is my promise to spread the news.
"Ich bin's Manni!"
First off, Princess Apricot made me laugh harder than I have in a month.
Second off, it looks awesome, however i'm kinda tight on funds and can't contribute much if anything.
Third and last off, (i didn't watch the whole vid so sorry if it was said) is the game going to be a free flash game or will it cost money to buy/play?
It's for the moneyz.
Es ist mir, Manni~!
uprising1234 can kind of see why, the people probably need more than just donated money to make the millions
and millions of dollars that the people want to have. uprising1234 would say that a commercial would be a good investment if Jay Pavlina wants to get more of the millions
and millions of the people interested. Trust me, there are millions
and millions of the people out there who haven't heard of SRS or of SMBC. A commercial gets the millions
and millions of the people interested in possibly both things.
(that was a tribute to The Rock, cause I felt like it)
About the game..
I love the name.
Hate the initials.
SRS = Serious
And since initials are in all caps, it just looks like people are yelling SERIOUS all the time.
So, for humor's sake, I will only refer to the game as "Super Retro Squad", just like that, all the time, with no exceptions, ever.
At my school SRS = Super Rad Shiz
Like the -rather short- video said, anything you can do to help is welcome.
I advise you to pledge 25$ so you get access to the special forum where infos -top secret infos about Super Retro Squad that cannot leave it- are revealed and all, and you get wallpaper, dance--
Well apparently things have changed.
For 15$, you can get a free copy of the game when it's released, along with a wallpaper, a special dance from Jay and your name will be on the ER site as a backer.
Just look here.
It's typed on the Kickstarter page too.
It's gonna be built on Unity's engine, gonna be sold, for POSSIBLY 5$, and probably for PC, Mac, iOS and Linux.
It only takes 8 minutes to watch the whole video, you know.
Was this project Spiky, Merther or something entirely new?
Where is that from?
There are chances, but from what I remember, Merther was planned way before the master plan and was said to be 3D. But my memory's kind of fading.
Part of the master plan, like said above.
I wonder if ER has the funds to put it on an Xbox, PS3 or Wii...cause PS3 is easier for me to get stuff with. Even the PSN store would be useful.
