Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.0 Trailer

See all the new stuff coming in Super Mario Bros. Crossover version 2.0.

You can finally see what we’ve been working on the for last year. The update is coming sometime during the first quarter of this year. Enjoy.

Note that there aren’t currently any new levels, only different graphics. The player will get to choose the graphics they want to play with, and they can even be mixed and matched. There is also Super Nintendo and Gameboy music being added for all characters.

We also uploaded our skinning files so people can begin experimenting with creating different graphics for the game. Note that skins cannot be uploaded into the game, but if we see something cool, we can put it in when we update the game.

Super Mario Bros. Crossover – SOPHIA the 3rd Trailer

SOPHIA the 3rd, from Blaster Master, is coming to Super Mario Bros. Crossover.

SOPHIA the 3rd, from the NES game Blaster Master, will be coming to Super Mario Bros. Crossover in late November. SOPHIA has almost all of her abilities from Blaster Master, including firing homing missiles, hovering through the air, driving on walls and the ceiling, and a swimming system. I also gave SOPHIA a new ability that allows her to jump off of walls and attach to them in mid-air. I felt that this was a natural extension to SOPHIA’s moveset and it makes her a very unique character. But honestly, I just added it because it’s fun as hell.

SOPHIA is the first character in the game to have limited ammo. In order to shoot homing missiles, the player will have to collect ammo from defeated enemies. The player’s current ammo and current hover (the amount of flight time SOPHIA has) are displayed onscreen. The player should be careful about dying because all of their hard-earned ammo will be reset to zero. Getting a star will grant SOPHIA unlimited missiles and hover for the duration of the star-power. Also, SOPHIA’s missiles are the only weapon in the game that can destroy Bullet Bills, Buzzy Beetles, and Spike Tops… in addition to Samus’s missiles, which are also coming in this update.

The game will be available on in late November, and there will be a few minor updates in addition to SOPHIA. Thanks everyone for the support, and I want to thank Nintendo, Konami, Capcom, Tecmo, and Sunsoft for allowing me to continue making this awesome game. I’ll see you all at the end of November.

Super Mario Bros. Crossover – Playing My Own Game #7

Jay talks shit while playing Super Mario Bros. Crossover in episode 7 of the “Playing My Own Game” series.

Sadly, this is the final video in the “Playing My Own Game” series. But no worries, I’ll do more soon. And I have some other videos planned, but I’m probably going to wait a little while because I’m going to work on the game. My favorite quote from this video is “fuck you, I got a life!”

What’s Been Going On – 8/18/2010

Jay gives a video update on Exploding Rabbit, Super Mario Bros. Crossover, his youtube channels, and the Exploding Rabbit Forums fundraiser.

Here’s a video update on what’s been going on with Exploding Rabbit and Super Mario Bros. Crossover. A few of the important things mentioned are that I’m going back to one Youtube channel, and I also mention the fundraiser to upgrade the Exploding Rabbit Forums.

I also give some comments on God of War III, Final Fantasy XIII, and Red Dead Redemption because I played them recently. And I’m considering doing game reviews in the future because that would be fun.
